It had been a stupid idea from the start thinking Yuri would listen to him--but sitting on the edge of the bed, dinner in his lap, and Repede at his feet--the atmosphere was perfect.
Almost too perfect, but Flynn knew opportunities when he saw them. Back and forth went the rag over the blade in Yuri's hand, and Flynn snuck a bite of soup, steeling himself for the final confrontation.
"...You know, you never mentioned this before now." And then, quietly, "...are you really sure?"
Flynn hesitated, watching his broth-y reflection. "No... but soon--yes."
Yuri was silent.
