"Aren't you embarrassed, walking around like this?" Tear asked, tugging at the hem of Peony's gift as if hoping it would cover more skin. Luke might be used to traveling with belly exposed to the world, but she found it a little more awkward.

Luke looked baffled by the question. "Why would I be?" he asked.

Tear gave him a look, but Guy said blithely, "He ran about naked in the manor all the time."

"Well, but back then he--"

"Until he was thirteen. He just doesn't get modesty."

"I do so," Luke interjected, almost offended. "That's something girls have!"
