Angry murmurs echo in Guy's mind as he hovers over his burn inflicted charge. The boy is less like a baby and more tabula rasa as those green watery eyes cling to his guardian's face.

Shouldn't you have known not to touch the fire?

The boy blinks and Guy picks him up before his balance is lost.

Luke's not crying, but he is unhappy and clinging.

Guy's scowl fades and resigns to kissing the burns until Luke slumbers against him.

Guy feels a heart beating.

This sensation feels new; he's not sure what to do.

He tightens his hold.

Guy is learning new things as much as Luke is, in some ways. :)

Yep. Considering what kind of person Guy used to be, you can pretty much say Luke taught Guy has much as Guy taught him in how to live. Just in different ways. X3
