She doesn't remember much, the years spent under the crystal's power blended into one another until they're nothing but a fine blur.

She knows that she was alive in the technical sense. She breathed, she blinked, she moved her foot forward and the other followed suit, taking her to places she doesn't remember but visited all the same.

She doesn't remember (so empty inside), and when she finally comes home, to take a look into a room she really sees for the first time in years she knows this too.

You can't ask for forgiveness from a pile of bones.

I love Presea, and man, this hurts. I really like it though--that last line delivers quite the punch.

You did a wonderful job conveying the difference between living and well, being here. Body moving, but the soul just isn't there.
