Abyss, Luke fon Fabre, forgiveness
Title: Never
Author:
reaching
Canon: Tales of the Abyss.
Spoilers: Akzeriuth.
Characters/Pairing: Luke fon Fabre, mentions of Guy.
Rating: All audiences.
Warnings: N/A.
Born a replica, Luke had to learn many things, the meaning of words (tree, apple), concepts (duty, heir), feelings (admiration, fear, friendship, love).
Some had been easy (“Guy?”, “That’s a bird, Master Luke.”; “Guy?”, “Sky.”; “Guy?”, “That’s my nose – Luke… I’m not a tree. Would you please stop trying to climb me?”), but feelings were harder. One could never truly understand them without having experienced them somehow.
Akzeriuth taught him about shame, regret and self-loathing, and though there were some (self-acceptance, self-forgiveness) that eluded him still, it was alright.
He never wanted to forgive himself.
He never wanted to forget.

So thrilled with the idea of 'Guy' being the first word he learned, though. XD
