The journeys were long and hard on them; especially the red-headed, unseasoned rookie in their ragtag group of merry misfits. The minute they’d arrived at the inn, Luke hadn’t even bothered to shower. He walked over to the closest bed, kicked off his muddy boots and fell into bed. No need for a blanket because the replica is out like a light.
Naturally, Guy was steps behind him to keep his young charge out of mischief. Yet the minute he sees Luke fast asleep on the bed, the blond can’t help but smile.
They were all due for a rest.
