The Brownie Mines are the last place Kanonno expected to see that familiar glow of pink hair or hear the distinct clicking of gem heels on floor. "Razalis?" she says. The figure turns.
After a moment, something changes on Razalis' face: recognition. "You aren't the Descender," zie says.
Kanonno smiles and steps forward. "No. The Descender's back on the Van Eltia. Do you want to see her?"
Razalis stares at her for a moment more, then nods slowly. Kanonno reaches out a hand to snag Razalis', savoring the cool touch of skin on crystal, and together they make their ascent.
