Hot, sticky heat slowly creeping into the air, the sky bright into the night and summer is coming, along with training and fishing and most of all, hunting.
Anticipation hovering above his skin, the rush of adrenaline in his veins, the pride in the meat and fur and bone of his game.
Then underneath his skin, spikes of heat that have nothing to do with the sun when he sees the ripple of muscle in the arms outstretched over Chester's head after an arrow well drawn.
Summer is hunting, heart pounding, and hot flashes that put the sun to shame.
